Acting & Improv

Acting can be intimidating, even for experienced performers. The most important thing we provide at BFAC is an environment where actors can experiment, learn, and PLAY in a low-stakes environment.

We encourage performers of all kinds, including those who may not consider themselves "actors, " to learn the reactive and fun world of improvisational theater. Authentic, organic reactions form the basis of scripted theater; the only way to get good at that impulsivity is to practice! We also cover scripted work, emotional and physical awareness, engaging in vulnerable work safely and repeatably, and much more in our sessions.

Black Flag hosts acting skills/improv classes/sessions every Sunday at 12PM (STARTING JANUARY 2025). The first Sunday of every month is FREE for all to attend, and is open to all skill and experience levels.
