BFAC CLUB SESSIONS WILL RESUME 9/8. THE SESSION FORMATS AND SCHEDULE HAVE CHANGED FOR FALL 2025 TERM. PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK THE CALENDAR AND THE CLASS PAGES FOR MORE INFO.

Membership-Based Training

Black Flag Arts Coalition is a membership-based club, and is supported by members who pay monthly dues. "Classes" are not offered for invididual consumption, as the goal of BFAC is to create a collaborative training space and community where members provide and enrich each other as much as the training and instruction offered by resident BFAC leadership and instructors. As such, BFAC does not offer drop-in class rates. BFAC does sometimes offer open/free-of-charge events, which will be posted in our Discord when they are available. Fee reductions/scholarships may also be available on a case-by-case basis. See below.
We have a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying, sexism, racism, and excessive force. There is no reason to gatekeep this art and hobby, nor is there ever a reason to endanger the mental or physical well-being of a clubmate. Resident or visiting artists/fencers/performers/etc. will be asked to leave if they cannot adhere to these standards, or if they exhibit behavior that signals they are a danger to themself or others.

BFAC shares space with Team Dynamite Productions and their other projects, including METROCON rehearsals - this can affect scheduling at certain parts of the year - always check the schedule page to verify any changes!

Prospective members are welcome to observe or visit on any evening we have an event scheduled, but ALL PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS must complete the Membership Intent Form linked below prior to acceptance and participation in club activities.

**MEMBERS MUST BE 18 OR OVER AND BE OF SOUND MIND AND BODY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES THEY ATTEND. ADDITIONALLY, BFAC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DECLINE/REVOKE MEMBERSHIP FOR ANY MEMBER WHO POSES A PHYSICAL, MENTAL, OR SOCIAL RISK TO THEMSELF OR OTHERS.**​
Membership Dues/Costs
Your first session at Black Flag is always free - join in for an evening with us to check us out any time. If you have zero prior experience, we require you to attend on the first class of the month in the relevant topic.

$100/month - dues include all areas of study, loaner gear, fuel for fire spinning, coaching/instruction as described on the individual topic pages, and more. Special Events will be listed on the Special Event page, and will include information as to whether they are included with monthly dues, or if there is an additional cost.​
How to Make a Payment
Membership Dues can be paid via automated PayPal subscription by clicking the buttons below - THIS IS OUR PREFERRED METHOD FOR COLLECTING MEMBERSHIP DUES. Subscriptions will auto-renew every month unless canceled - you can cancel anytime via PayPal, or reach out to us here or in person, and we can cancel your subscription anytime.
Financial Assistance & Equity Scholarships
Black Flag Arts Coalition is committed to maintaining an equitable, accessible space that is safe for performers, martial artists, and enthusiasts of a wide array of backgrounds. To that end, it is important to us that we create opportunities for underrepresented populations to participate in these arts and reduce economic barriers, without holding an "open door" policy that invites the constant presence of unvetted non-members free of charge.

If you are unable to maintain the monthly membership dues listed above due to financial hardship but would still like to participate in BFAC training sessions and meetups, reach out to us via the contact us page on this website to discuss your options. Members of the LGBTQIA+ community, POC, and other minorities who are historically underrepresented in the martial, circus, and flow arts communities are strongly encouraged to participate and apply. Additionally, current or former members suffering from temporary economic hardship are encouraged to participate and apply.
